Hi,
Very recently my computer has developed a condition where it will not stay in Standby mpode, either automatic or manual. It will go in to Standby but will immediately fire up again within a couple of seconds. This problem has only just developed in the last week. Computer is fully updated and I have not added any software or hardware lately. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Rod |

Do you regularly scan with up to date anti virus and malware programs? Do
you have a firewall activated? -- Regards Ron Badour MS MVP 1997 - 2007 "Forbeskin" <Forbeskin@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7195FA24-4A41-4F8E-AEFC-AAD7C0C44B8F@microsoft.com... > Hi, > Very recently my computer has developed a condition where it will not > stay in Standby mpode, either automatic or manual. In an attempt to diagnose this problem, why not first disable the mouse from
being able to bring it out of standby? Then disable the keyboard. If unsuccessful go into BIOS and turn off any 'wake ons'.
