Default Problem with print spooler

Someone uninstalled the print spooler on an XP Home box at the office I work
at. I can restart the service, but whenever I open up Word, the spooler
crashes again. This means that I have to restart the spooler everytime I want
to print. Any way to fix this?

Default RE: Problem with print spooler

Try this:

Start > Run > Type services.msc
Double click Print spooler
On the Print Spooler Properties, General Tab, On the Startup Type: Choose
Automatic

Also the path to execute: should be C:\Windows\system32\spoolsv.exe
