Most of the times if i try to save a web page in IE it geos for some
distance and then freezes. After canceling again and again only then it
allows further browsing (but page is not savad).

For Word: Go to Start/Run and type in: winword /r
For Excel: Go to Start/Run and type in: excel /regserver
For PowerPoint: Start/Run and type in: powerpnt /regserver
For Access:Go to Start/Run and type in: msaccess /regserver
