My Digital Camera is plug-and-play, therefore the scanner and camera wizard
pops up everytime I go to import photos. I have an Import utility with Photoshop which is far more intuitive. I'm getting annoyed always having to close the wizard everytime. How do I stop Windows from opening it's wizard? |

Stop the WIA service prior to hooking up the digital camera.
Start > run > type in service.msc Click OK or press Enter In the right frame, scroll down to Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) Double click it and set the Startup type to Disabled or click the Stop button. Click Apply, OK. Close the services console. *Remember IF* you've Disabled WIA, you need to reenable it *IF* you want to use it in the future.
