Thank you for the reply. I completed the first part, ie. delete files etc,
but when I attempted to add the regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll, this is the message
I received..
"mshtml.dll was loaded but the Dll register server entry point was not
found.This file cannot be registered." The red X remains in the emails, some
pictures show, but many don't..

Click Start, Run, type:

SFC /SCANNOW

Click OK. (Please notice the space before the slash.) If any files are
damaged or missing, they'll be replaced. You may need to reboot
afterwards. Then try to register the file again. If you're asked to
insert the XP SP2 or SP3 disk, there are other problems ahead.

[X-post to OE General]

[Ask your correspondents who are using MS Outlook to only send you emails
using Plain Text format.]

If you send yourself an HTML message with an embedded (inserted) picture, do
you see the picture in the received message?
