I can add the PC to the Domain, but when I try to add the Domain user to the
local admin group of that pc I can't do it. I don't even get the option to select from the "DOMAIN" that I need to select the user from. I only get the option to select from that local PC. Another thing when the user logs onto the PC, the login script doesn't run and we get an error. I'm wondering if its a DNS issue as this is an issue at a remote office that we just hooked up and they are connected back to the main office through a VPN Tunnel. Any suggestions or ideas? |

Are setup is as follows.
We have the remote office connecting to the Internet through a 3mbps bidirectional connection. We are then usign this internet connection to leverage a VPN tunnell back to the corporate office through a CISCO router and then that CISCO Router connects to the CISCO router at the office. For example, now the users only have to dial a 4 digit ext to talk with folks back at corporate, where as they used to have to do the full 10 digit dialing. I will make a nother post with the other information. It was a DNS Issue.
We added the DNS's of the Main office along with the DNS of the ISP and now it works correctly. The reason it would join the domain is because WINS contained our DNS of the main office and when you join a domain it looks at DNS and WINS, however the login script does not look at WINS.
