Dear Sir,
I am currently searching for a free and good regustry cleaner on the web. I find that most of the "Free" scanners are only for partial repair. If the user need to have a full repair he would need to pay for an annual subscription fee. Is there a truly free sotware from the web ? I would be glad id somebody could help me on this. Many thanks Low -- A36B58K641 |

Registry Cleaner's can NEVER be trusted, unless they can be used in "manual"
mode so that you can inspect and evaluate everything "it" wants to do to your registry. i.e. run an "analyze" registry sweep and manually work through the list of proposed changes. Almost ALWAYS, registry clean programs want to get rid of required keys !!! I use www.wincleaner.com 's OneClick CleanUp by "Business Logic Corporation," which came free on a magazine cd - or it has to be bought, .....which can be used in the above outlined fashion. You might get a free trial period on their www but, I haven't checked. regards, Richard "Mr. Low" <lsk2141@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news 70FAB4A-B623-446C-8024-FDFB36C1BBDF@microsoft.com...> Dear Sir, > > I am currently searching for a free and good regustry cleaner on the web. > > I find that most of the "Free" scanners are only for partial repair. As the cleaner get's "better", so does the probability of system failure. A
lot of people here discourage the use of such programs. I use CCleaner, which does a fair job, Easy Cleaner is a bit more aggressive. I do know of quite a few people who have totally trashed their system using such programs, so proceed with caution. As mentioned... a registry cleaner is not likely to fix any severe problems but can possible introduce a few more. Registry editing should be done manually and only by an expert or under the guidance of one |
