Default Win XP-Pro Shut Off CD Autostart

I have tried all suggestions including Thoes on TweakUI & GPEDIT.MSC without
success.

I have a LightScribe CD R\W which revs up upon starting PC when there is a
game disk in it. It reaches a certain speed & then stops without starting the
game.

How do I stop the reving up & down?

This is the "natural" way the hardware is checked. CDs always rev up
but it continues if the drive detect a "disk." There does not really
seem to be a general method of disabling the reving / spin down
options. You need to check with the drive's maker and see if this can
be set differently. Otherwise, you may have to learn to live with
(mine do the same -- no options) or make a habit of removing the disks.
