Default explorer (not internet explorer) background image question

I like to use a background image in certain directories, however,
explorer 'tiles' these pictures. That's great if you use a small image
you want tiled but I use pictures, which I'd rather explorer
S-T-R-E-T-C-H to fit.

Is there any way to make explorer images (pictures) stretch, not tile?
BTW, I checked the folder properties (customize) and saw no option to
'tile', 'stretch' etc.
