Hello, Can I use the Vista 'file search' feature to find duplicate files. The files might have slightly different names but identical filesize etc. ? Thanks KK

You could try, but I wouldn't expect good results. I use a program called
Duplicate File Finder. It works well.

It seems to me the best variant to 'delete duplicate fies'
(http://www.moleskinsoft.com/) is a program Clone Remover.

By the way if you have some problems with registry clean up i recommend Disk Cleaner. It's a nice program
