Default Xbox and Internet Connection

I am attempting to relay an internet connection recieved by the Laptop from a
wireless router and convert it to a LAN connection so that the IP address
could be sent to and XBox 360 system for a connection to XBox Live

The Xbox is visible on to the PC, however the Xbox is not recieving the IP
address from the computer and so it will not connect to Xbox live

This makes no sense. Since you have a wireless router, you don't need to
relay anything. Set the wireless router to do DHCP (which is the default)
and the Xbox will get its IP address from the router, just like all the
other devices on the network. The Xbox can connect to the router either
wired (ethernet) or wirelessly.

Go to www.xboxlive.com and read how to set up an Xbox on your network. This
has nothing to do with Windows.

XBox 360 doesn't have wireless built in...unlike the PS3.
He is trying to avoid purchasing the wireless adapter (they make both an
ethernet adapter and a usb one, around $100)

Ah. You are quite right, I'm sure. I have an Xbox connected to my wireless
network and I did forget that I bought the Xbox wireless adapter for it.
And yes, it was around $100. Very good call.
