If they won't install in one of Vista's compatibility modes, you'll most likely have to replace them with more modern applications. After all, these are 11 years old; that's roughly 5 generations, in computer terms. -- Bruce Chambers Help us help you: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/555375 They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. ~Benjamin Franklin Many people would rather die than think; in fact, most do. ~Bertrand Russell The philosopher has never killed any priests, whereas the priest has killed a great many philosophers. ~ Denis Diderot |

Have you tried installing them in Compatibility Mode? If not, look in Vista's Help & Support for how to try this. If that doesn't work, you can try installing them as Administrator by right-clicking on the installer executable and choosing "run as Administrator". If none of that works, I'm sorry but you'll need to update to a current version of the program that the mftr. says will work in Vista. Vicky, I was able to install and run an even older program, Micrograhix Windows Draw, in Vista. Don't remember if I had to use the Compatibility mode or not, but you should give it a try. I did have to download a file from Microsoft to enable the older format help files to run. |
