Whart is the IDT HD Audio CODEC Update

Hi there,
can someone pplease tell me what the IDT HD Audio CODEC update is, I am
currently running SigmaTel HD Audio CODEC on my computer with Windows Vista
Home Premium. It says that the IDT HD Audio CODEC update is "optional" so I
was just wondering if someone could tell me what it is and if it is recomeded
that I install it before I go ahead and do this update

Don't. there are issues with it.
