So what? Many Geek Squad employees and admins have been "in the IT business" longer than either of us, I'm sure: Geek Squad Soaks Your Computer, Blames You: http://consumerist.com/378522/geek-s...ter-blames-you Top Geek Squad Stories To Date: http://consumerist.com/consumer/roun...ate-257316.php LEAKED: 6 More Geek Squad Manuals: http://consumerist.com/consumer/geek...als-249910.php I have a very successful IT consulting business but I choose not to brag about it. My work speaks for itself. The fact that ~BD~ comes to my defense despite our many /contretemps/ in the past speaks even louder of my capabilities. Ah, I think this may be the same b_nice that was rude to me as well in the
past. You have my support, Robear. However, I would like to see b_nice prove to us that his expertise are beyond everyone else's expertise. So b_nice did you start working with computers when BASIC was new or before that and what programs and coding are you familiar with? Do you know C++, Fortran, COBOL, etc. In addition, how proficient are you with cryptography and how high a level of encryption can you break. Have you managed to crack through a 128 bit cipher strength and how about 256 bit AES encryption bit or 448 bit Blowfish encryption. Please enlighten us all to how brilliant you are. |

My niggling worry is that folk with problems are 'directed' to all manner of 'help forums' (see David H Lipman's posts for examples!) where 'experts' attempt to clean the users machine. LOL!! I know I am being mean to b_nice aka root kit but what goes around
comes around. Robear is really cool and will continue to get my support as well as professionals like Chris Quirke, MVP who I really admire for his wisdom and expertise especially in regards to the 9x operating system specifically as far as the safety and security discussion of 9x operating systems via NT operating systems. I also appreciate the United States Government and its Department of Homeland Security especially in regards to the Computer Emergency Readiness Team and all the hard work they do to keep our information secure from enemy threats whether they be domestic and/or international. A point of note, I set my computer recently to be hacked via remote access in tracking and secure mode and someone fell for the bait but the fool hacker who took the trap was unfortunately a novice hacker and not the high end hacker that I was trying to trap. I will continue venturing dangerously in the future via the appropriate safeguards and via the appropriate tracking and catching protocol. Let the Games Begin. BTW, movies that I really enjoy and you might want to watch are Sneakers -- 1980's one with Robert Redford, Enemy of the State, The Game, The original Matrix, and of course my all time favorite "It's a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart. <grin> "~BD~" wrote: > > "Root Kit" <b__nice@hotmail.com> wrote in message > news:m99c649e22q7r3nvdjrel8gb6pm36rlbas@4ax.com... > > On Sat, 28 Jun 2008 12:19:18 +0100, "~BD~" <BoaterDave@nospam.invalid> > > wrote: > > > >>In line responses > >> > >>"Root Kit" <b__nice@hotmail.com> wrote in message > >>> I've been in the IT business more than twice as long. > >>> > >> > >>That doesn't necessarily mean that you are one of the good guys! > > > > You're exactly right. I learned that lesson the hard way of trying to cover my tracks. It is next
to impossible these days. However, governments can attempt it via using servers in other countries to try and mask their footprints but it is only a matter of time before these governments slip up and our caught by the International Community. <smile> "PA Bear [MS MVP]" wrote: > RootKit wrote: > <snip> > > According to http://aumha.org/vsop.htm he seems to be a wine salesman > > and a professional singer - being an IT hobbyist since 1999. > > > > I've been in the IT business more than twice as long. > > So what? Why was he banned, other than being a nutcase?

Unlike BD, we don't air our dirty laundry in public, Tom.

BD does NOT believe everything he reads on a screen, in a newspaper or hears on the radio. BD ....... DOES question things he doesn't understand. It has little to do with computers. BD, I am actually surprised that I am responding to you. You need to be
polite in newsgroups. You need to try and help others if you can. You need to allow others to help you and not accuse them falsely and degrade them as you have done to Robear. You need to be humble and even if you have been in IT for a long time then you need to prove it to us because there has been so many lies that no one believes or trusts you anymore. You need to respect MVP's even if they sometimes make mistakes because we are all human. You talk about your own brilliance as being in IT twice as long as Robear but what have you contributed to help other users. If you are willing to really change and show us that you have changed then possibly restrictions on you may someday be lifted. Finally, do not expect me to make a habit of responding to your posts because you hurt me with your words in the past as well. |
