Hi I've been reading about TS 2008 and I'm trying to set up a test one. I noticed to utilize all the features XP should be running RPD client 6.1.

XP SP3 but no RDP 6.1

Hi I've been reading about TS 2008 and I'm trying to set up a test one. I
noticed to utilize all the features XP should be running RPD client 6.1. I
was also under the impression that XP service pack 3 would upgrade this
client but when I look at the details of the .exe it still shows as
6.0.6001.18000. So how do I upgrade my client to 6.1?

Thanks,
TKE402

Thanks for the reply. My workstations are using WSUS so I can't use Windows
Update. Do you know the KB number?

Thanks,

Your client is already at version 6.1 (6.0.6001.xxxxx) whereas
version 6.0 is 6.0.6000.xxxxx.

Re: XP SP3 but no RDP 6.1

OK well now when I try to remote into a 2008 TS server with an XP box I
receive: "The remote computer requires network level authentication..." error
message. I found a reg hack to enable this but I thought having the latest
version of RDP 6.1 would take care of this. Do I have to do this reg hack on
all my users?

Thanks

Yes. Don't know where you've found the reg hack, but here is the
official documentation:
