Hi, I'm asking all our DBAs to login to a central terminal servcie box running Windows 2003. From this server, they can RDP to our database servers(windows 2003) to do their work. There's a firewall here only allow RDP session from the central terminal server to reach our database servers. The database server only has "remote desktop for administration" turned on, so only two rdp sessions and I have to grant them local admin rights on each box they can logon to. This is fine with our need. Here's my question. Is it possible to generate a RDP connection status report regarding database server RDP session when DBA first login to the central terminal server? I want our DBAs to see who is login to which database server and if that login is still active before they make a connection. Thanks!! |

You can add other servers in terminal services manager on your central
server and then monitor sessions in there, if users are on server then do not connect if not connect. -- ____________________________________ Frane Borozan Terminal Services and Citrix Presentation Server user logging http://www.terminalserviceslog.com |

You can also (from a commandline) do:
query session /server:SERVERNAME "Frane" wrote: > You can add other servers in terminal services manager on your central > server and then monitor sessions in there, if users are on server then do > not connect if not connect. > > -- > ____________________________________ > Frane Borozan > Terminal Services and Citrix Presentation Server user logging > http://www.terminalserviceslog.com > |
