Using Win98-2, Receiving inet from wireless network

Running Win98-2 and want to receive the internet from another XP computer
that has a router and is creating a wireless network. Bought a Linksys
suggested M/N WUSB54G to receive on the Win98 computer. During installation,
the Linksys software asks for the Win98 installation disc which I insert but
it can't seem to find what it's looking for and am not able to get the the
internet on that system. Can anyone with experience receiving the internet
through a wireless network on a Win98 system help. Thanks, Berol

Run the Linksys software again and when you are prompted for your Windows
98 CD, insert it, click "Browse", select the CD drive, double-click on the
"Win98" folder, click "OK", then "OK" again.

The easier method is to create the network in the XP PC via
Wizard and select late in the process for it to write the setup
software to a floppy, which then runs OK in the Win98 PC.
(This generates one error message IIRC, but the setup
works OK just the same.)

I set up the home network thus.
1. Basement Win98 PC connected to wireless router for
home, and that router to a wireless link for high speed
Internet. (Cable unavailable here.)
2. Added wireless card to upstairs WinXP PC, ran the
Setup Network Wizard, created floppy with SETUP.
3. Run SETUP on the basement Win98 PC.

The WinXP upstairs describes itself as an Internet
Gateway and I do not quite know how that happened
(because its link to the Internet is indirect via downstairs)
but the network works OK. (Don't know why the wireless
link to Internet (ISP's router) gets a good signal downstairs
when it does not upstairs -- but that is the case.)
