File Replication W2k3 to W2k3R2

I need to replicate files from an existing W2k3 (not R2) server to a W2k3 R2
server.

All I can find is info about replicating with DFS on R2.

I understand FRS will do the job and is available on W2k3 but I can't locate
any info about setting it up to work with an R2 machine.

Does anyone have any reference links?

Thanks,
Paul

Re: File Replication W2k3 to W2k3R2

I would suggest installing disk 2 of the R2 set on the server that is not
R2. Just run setup2 from the second disk then use DFSR.

Erm.. actually before I do this... will it let me *only* install DFS ?
or will it want a bunch more stuff - and will it need a reboot ?

Yea you can choose to install only DFSR and if I remember right a reboot is
involved.
